Revolution Sports Management Sell Express

News Release

The Springfield Express hockey team owned by Revolution Sports Management (RSM) of Clifton Park NY has entered into an agreement to finalize an Asset Sale of the WSHL Franchise to 417 Sports Management. The undisclosed terms and amount has been finalized today April 29th, 2016.

The team is to remain in Springfield and continue play in the WSHL Midwest Division at MediaCom Ice Park.

Owner Joe "MAC" MacConnell had this to say.
"It's truly a sad day in the MacConnell and Tomaro families home and RSM Corporate office. We will miss all the friends and fans we have made the last 2 seasons in Springfield Missouri.  Our goal was to bring great quality hockey to Springfield and we have done just that and are very proud of the Team, Employees and volunteers for all the time they have dedicated in making it happen. With other projects in the works for RSM, a few entity's have reached out to see any interest in selling and seeing the opportunities for hockey in this great area we felt it would be a great opportunity for the team to have a owner/organization that would concentrate on only one team. We wish the Players, Volunteers and friends well.

Owner Ken Tomaro had this to say.
"It has been a pleasure working with all of the staff, volunteers and fans in Springfield. Our time in Springfield was exciting and rewarding both professionally and personally. We are happy that the new ownership group are members of the community and will be there to support the team year round allowing ice hockey and the Express to flourish in your city for many years to come.
Thank you all for your help and support."

417 Sports Management is a newly formed local business in Springfield Missouri owned by Dr. Brenton Coger.

Plans are believed to have been solidified with 417 Sports Management to retain Jeremy Law as the Head Coach for the 2016-2017 season.
